Both FatCats include custom mounting systems for fast and easy installation. The Snap-around hardware will simplify mounting on round and square crossbars, while the new and improved SnapLock hardware straps create a secure fitment on most factory and aero crossbars. Once installed, you’ll find these carriers easy to open thanks to oversize buttons that are easy to operate even with heavy ski gloves. The soft rubber padding will provide a secure hold for your snow gear without damaging the finish. And if you have the latest “fat” skis and snowboards, the DoubleJoint hinge system allows the hinges to spread slightly to accommodate your gear.

If there’s not enough clearance between the carriers and your roof for snowboards or tall bindings, don’t risk damaging your vehicle or equipment. The integral ski lifts drop down from the bottom of the carrier where it can be attached to the crossbar mount, and it’s adjustable, so you can gain just the height you need. Yakima SKS (Same Key System) lock cores and keys are included to lock your gear to the carriers, which also locks the carriers to the crossbars.
