2022 Brabus Rocket G900

Brabus’ aim has always been to produce the fastest cars in the world, and with how they are going, they may achieve this dream. The 2022 Brabus Rocket G900 was built based on the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupe. It is the fastest SUV in the world, going at 205mph.

The demand for this model, even though it is quite expensive, will be high as 25 units will be released, considering its features.

Features

Anybody who orders one of the 25 units will vet many customizable options, but the red theme of the interior is kept constant. The wheels are specially painted with a black and red accent. Brabus calls this color “Rocket Red,” This is a pretty interesting wordplay because you would be buying a Rocket G-wagon.

With the newly installed Activation Sound Management System, drivers can switch from the ‘throaty’ engine sound in sport mode to the subtle whisper-like sound in coming home mode.

Some of the interior accessories include; shift pedals, four pieces of door lock pins, airbags in leather, and surcharges for vented seats.

The front spoiler, front fenders, rear spoilers, rear diffuser, and Ram Air intake front grille are all glossy carbon fiber.

The Exterior

Many people are only interested in what changed underneath the bonnet, but the exterior changes are enticing too.

You have the option of choosing the wheels you want. You either get a 23 inches Monoblock Z “Platinum Edition” combined with continental high-performance tires or this Edition in 24 inches ten-spoke design tires. The wheels are fitted with the Brabus aero disc to ensure the aerodynamic performance of the wheels and to make the wheels appear thrilling. Brabus technology partners provide the wheels; Yokohama, Continental, and Pirelli.

The side, air, and rear diffusers are all made of carbon fiber.

The exhaust system is a new one with full carbon tailpipe trims. The Brabus stainless sport exhaust system with integrated exhaust flaps has two Brabus titanium with a 3.5 inches diameter. Actively controlled valves and integrated launch ambiance lights help provide the right looks and acoustic while reducing the backpressure of the exhaust to promote power delivery perfectly.

The Interior

It is goodbye to different exterior and interior colors with the Brabus 2022 G900. The exterior colors are the same as the interior. Red colors are used for all trim pieces in the cockpit, door pins, RACE paddle shifter on the steering wheel, and pedals.

The designer of this bespoke interior, which was fully handcrafted, was probably thinking of a masterpiece to match the model’s amazing performance and its sporty, bold appearance.

The seats and the steering wheels are upholstered in the finest black leather design. The leather is then decorated with contrast-colored topstitching. The topstitching and all the feature color finishes are done to match the body of the 2022 G900.

The pedals and door lock pins are all made of aluminum. The scuff plates are made of stainless steel. The scuff plates are decorated with the Brabus logo, which changes color in sync with the ambient lighting.

The finishing of the interior is completed with special Brabus “Seashell Diamond” quilting and perforations. These are applied with pinpoint precision all around the cabin; these include the seats, trim elements, and footwells. The upholstered in the finest leather is not excluded.

Engine and Performance

Brabus was no longer impressed with the values of the GLE 63, so they did massive fine-tuning. Underneath the GLE 63 S hood lies a 4.0-liter V8 engine paired with a 48 Volt EQ Boost system. The engine can deliver 628 pounds-feet of torque and 603 horsepower. The EQ Boost System adds an extra 21 hp to the horsepower and 185-pound feet to the torque value. It is not that the 603 horsepower is too small for the 2022 Rocket G900, but its horsepower value has been increased so that it has become the fastest SUV in the world. This model comes with a 4.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission now produces 900 horsepower, a power of about 660kW, and a torque value of 922-pound feet. This value is, however, limited to about 775-pound feet to protect its drivetrain.

The cylinders of the engine were enlarged and combined with larger forged pistols. Standard turbochargers replaced the standard turbo displacements with larger compressor units, and reinforced axial bearings replaced the modified core assemblies.

This luxury model can climb from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds, and its top electronically limited speed goes up to 205 mph. All these power and torque values will be wasted if this model cannot perform off-road.

Pricing

The MSRP of this model starts at approximately $448 000.

The fuel economy for this model is given thus; 17 mpg city, 13 mpg highway, and 14.5 mpg combined. The amount of CO2 gas emissions combined is 325g/km.

Note that all the above values are based on the Mercedes-AMG G63 S values, and they have been approximated.

All Brabus models are covered by a three-year or 100 000 km (62 000 miles) warranty with every conversion.
